This position has the responsibility of esuring the Quality Management System functions and provides both Assurance and Control of Quality to ensure Customer Satisfaction and Cost Of Poor Quality are measured, reported and maintained at competitive levels.
Manage all customer satisfaction measurements and act as the voice of the customer on matters of quality and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that issues are addressed through effective ongoing audits, corrective action and improvement procedures. This may include installing and achieving ISO 9000 series status to underwrite the effectiveness of such procedures.
Provide senior management with ongoing status and suggestions and encouragement to meet and exceed any customer satisfaction goals.
Install and maintain in coordination with the manufacturing operating management an effective quality control system that ensures all materials are purchased and received to specification and that production and testing processes are undertaken with quality controls integrated into these methods and practices.
This will include defining inspection screens and how QC will support batch first off procedures and stage inspections and final product release procedures etc.
This will include managing a system to report and measure discrepancies and communicate and encourage corrective action and improvement. This must be performed in concert with the Operational Evolution Plan efforts
The individual selected must already be a successful Quality management professional with experience at undertaking and managing such quality systems mentioned.
An engineering formal qualification and background in a similar operating process will be preferred, and affiliation and accreditation with ASQ and other controlling bodies will be an Advantage.
