raSmith is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm comprising civil engineers, structural engineers, land surveyors, development managers, landscape architects and ecologists. Our services are focused on our public and private sector client needs in design and construction including land development, site planning and design, structural engineering, municipal engineering, transportation and traffic, surveying, construction services and geographic information systems (GIS). We work on projects nationwide from our seven locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, California and Pennsylvania. We currently have an opening for a Project Manager in our Land Development Group at our Oakmont, PA location. This position will manage projects for a variety of clients on new development and redevelopment projects. The Land Development Group works in commercial/retail, educational, health care, industrial, institutional, residential and other markets. This Project Manager will work to identify, initiate, develop, maintain and manage a portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include writing proposals, winning business, negotiating contracts/agreements with clients/subcontractors, setting and maintaining project budgets and overseeing projects. They are the main point of contact with clients and coordinate with team members and sub-consultants. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Wisconsin. Candidates will also have a minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in all aspects of civil engineering with 5 years of experience as a project manager in a business development role. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology and hydraulic software is also needed. Candidates will also need experience in aspects of site development, water distribution and sewer collection systems design, parking lots and roads, storm water management, grading, erosion and sediment control, from initial project planning through construction phase. Prior supervisory, mentoring and/or training experience for project team members is preferred.
