Manage research activities of assigned sections as directed by the Pediatric Clinical Trial Director. Duties will include coordination of overall clinical research within the section to ensure smooth operation of clinical trials. Provide leadership and oversight to research teams and facilitate the achievement of program goals. Recruit, train, and supervise clinical research staff.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and attentiveness to detail required. Strong computer skills. Sufficient knowledge of program study area.
Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management.
Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.

Division: Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant
Reports to (Title): Division Administrator Sr., Director, Pediatric Cancer Clinical Trial Office
Direct Reports (Titles): Clinical Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Assistants, Research Nurses.
Preferred Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Full-time role with expectations for coverage during core business hours and flexibility required.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: 6 years’ experience in research program coordination. Supervisory experience.
Preferred Experience: Experience with program management in a medical research or educational environment. Prior work with clinical research or patient care.
Certification: CCRC or CCRP required. CITI training required within 90 days of hire.
