The Department of Medical Education at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF-COM) is seeking an Internal Medicine physician as a full-time clinician educator (tenure or non-tenure earning track) to join a multi-disciplinary team of faculty and contribute to the department's mission and the delivery of an integrated medical education curriculum.
The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of curricula at the undergraduate medical education (UME) level. Experience in preclinical foundational course(s) and/or internal medicine clerkship education is preferred. An educational leadership role is an option. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work closely and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary group of faculty to achieve the M.D. program educational program outcomes.
Opportunities for educational scholarship as well as collaborations with other faculty members on research are available. The chosen applicant will also be expected to provide service to the educational programs at the college and university. Minimal clinical activity to maintain clinical competency may be arranged.

The successful candidate is required to have a M.D. in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution, be Board eligible or Board certified in internal medicine or an applicable internal medicine sub-specialty, have completed an ACGME-accredited training, and have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of teaching experience, as well as scholarly achievement and service commensurate with rank.
In order to obtain tenure, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research and service commensurate with rank.Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to candidates who have taught in a clerkship program as well as those with a prior course or clerkship leadership role. Experience teaching a variety of UME topics including, but not limited to, pulmonary and cardiac medicine is also preferred. Experience in small-group case-based learning, one-on-one clinical teaching and working in the clinical and simulation skills laboratory environment is desired. The ideal candidate would have expertise with innovative teaching and assessment methods. Previous publications in the medical education literature will be strongly considered.
