Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Allopathic Medicine is excited to announce that we have received preliminary accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). As part of our growth process, we invite applications from outstanding medical educators wishing to join an innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic team. We are seeking faculty who have experience and expertise in building a curriculum and ultimately teaching the next generation of physician leaders. We are in the process of selecting the inaugural class of 50 students who will matriculate in August 2018. If you join our team, you will have the unique opportunity to be a founding faculty member and to help select our charter class. The exciting openings on our team include:
Problem Based Learning (PBL) Case Director
This faculty member will oversee the design and delivery of PBL cases throughout the first two years of an integrated systems-based curriculum with threads in Research, Genomics, Interprofessional Collaboration, Ethics and Humanities, Biomedical Informatics, and Leadership.
Problem Based Learning (PBL) Facilitators/Block Directors – 3 openings
PBL Facilitators/Block Directors will be responsible for directing at least one interdisciplinary block (neurological sciences/musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal/nutrition, endocrine/reproductive, or psychiatry/behavior/prevention over the lifecycle) and facilitating problem based learning groups in other blocks.
Physician Educators – 2 positions
These physicians will be responsible for directing the clinical skills courses in the first two years of the curriculum.
The College is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The campus has a rich opportunity for interprofessional collaboration and houses the College of Allopathic Medicine as well as Colleges of Dental Medicine, Health Care Services, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Optometry, Osteopathic Medicine, and Pharmacy.
