The position is entry level and field-focused, including:
•the collection of water level measurements and water quality samples from production wells and monitoring wells; •utilizing a variety of sampling equipment and pumps, •sample labeling, preservation, and delivery to laboratories; •data logger deployment, programming, download, and maintenance; •detailed documentation of field activities; •occasional logging of new monitoring well installations; and •perform other field work as directed.
Position will require hydrogeological skills, including the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of groundwater data, filing and data entry, quality checks of the work of others, construction of contour maps, hydrographs, and geologic cross sections, perform basic research, and perform technical report writing as directed. All work must be of the highest quality to ensure accurate representative of data collection and documentation of methodologies.

Experience with commonly used software such as Excel, Word, Power Point, ArcGIS, Access and hydrogeological software such as modeling, contouring, geochemistry, geophysical logs and borehole logs a plus. Experience with mechanical skills to perform diagnostics and repairs of equipment in the field is also a plus.
A valid California driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.
