Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions currently has an opportunity available for a Civil Design Drafter in our Portland, OR office. We are looking for an exceptional, highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Civil 3D/CAD Designer. Applicants must be well versed in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite applications. Candidate must conform to appropriate CAD standards and best practices. The ability to organize work, set priorities, pay attention to detail, and follow-up on assignments with minimal supervision is essential.Key Responsibilities•Will perform primarily civil drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including civil site layout, cut/fill volume analysis, cross-sections, engineering details, stormwater, water, sanitary, waste water, roads, streets, streams, and water bodies•Prepares drawings and other report documents under direct supervision•Under supervision, and according to established standards and procedures, performs detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of engineering drawings from given data•Produces finished artwork in the form of flow charts, schedules, organization charts, viewgraphs, site maps, cross sections as well as technical charts, graphs and logs•Prepares detailed drawings, working plans, and presentation graphics from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches•Makes basic engineering computations relative to layout and organization of project•Occasional fieldwork for project data collections•Coordination with independent professional land surveyors
Skills / Qualifications Required •Minimum of 3 years of applicable solid experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD platforms•Proficient with MS Office applications•Ability to manage and manipulate Civil 3D styles•Ability to work in a network environment and effectively communicate with co-workers, planners, and engineers•Manage multiple tasks on multiple projects with great attention to detail•A positive attitude with the ability to work and be engaged in a team setting•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team•Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if required•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyHelpful but not Required•Technical drafting degree preferred but not required•Knowledgeable with GIS/Mapping Design using ESRI/ArcGIS softwareCompany Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
