Tenure track faculty positions in Developmental Neuroscience: The Saban Research Institute at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, is seeking to recruit new faculty members who have outstanding records of research and scholarly accomplishments, as well as a proven track record of securing extramural funding, in Developmental Neuroscience. All areas of research focus will be considered, though of particular interest are faculty investigating mechanisms mediating brain-immune or brain-gut interactions, the adaptive metabolic capacity of the developing brain to genetic or environmental challenges, or mechanisms underlying gene regulation in typical and atypical neurodevelopmental processes. Successful candidates will utilize models to apply molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches investigating developmental processes that underlie risk for lifelong health disturbances. They should also demonstrate a strong interest in collaborative and translational science.
There are opportunities to train excellent graduate students through biomedical and university-wide Neuroscience PhD programs, and clinical research fellows at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Keck School of Medicine. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree.
