Other Hanson office locations will be considered depending on the qualifications of the candidate. This is a Railway Market position.
General Assignments: This person will be responsible for conducting field surveys and wetland delineations, preparing permit applications and mitigation plans for wetlands and other environmental resources to support Section 404 Permitting through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other agencies. Responsibilities will also include preparing a variety of other permitting and environmental documents and reports and interfacing with various state and federal resource agencies. The candidate must be willing to accept frequent, short-term, out-of-town travel assignments and work overtime as necessary to meet project demands.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Environmental Science, plus 1 to 5 years of wetland delineation and/or Section 404 permitting experience. Completion of a wetland delineation training course is a plus but is not required. A Master’s degree in the environmental field is a plus but is not required. The candidate must have excellent technical writing capabilities, exhibit excellent attention to details, must be able to work as a team member and independently, have the desire to learn new skills, be self-motivated, and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. A proficiency in GIS skills is also preferred.
