Overview of Position and Community
The City's Traffic Engineer will provide experienced engineering work in the investigation, design, construction, operation and maintenance of traffic control devices. Work involves applying specialized engineering skills and knowledge to a variety of municipal transportation problems.
The City of Puyallup is situated at the foot of Mount Rainier, just east of Tacoma and about 45 minutes south of Seattle. The city has gained prominence as a regional commercial and service center for Pierce County, and has experienced sustained growth in the development of residential, commercial and medical related facilities. Possession of or the ability to obtain prior to appointment a certificate of registration as a Professional Engineer in civil engineering in the State of Washington.
Possession of or the ability to obtain, and maintain throughout employment, a valid Washington State driver's license.
