Beloit, WI (pop. 37,000) The City of Beloit is seeking innovative leaders as candidates for its next Director of Public Works. Beloit is located near the Wisconsin/Illinois State line in south central Wisconsin. Beloit is a thriving, full service community, home to the internationally known, highly regarded Beloit College. The city also has a 400 acre city owned industrial/office park, as well as an exciting arts community that boasts a two week international film festival, a philharmonic, an arts incubator and a civic theater that plays to sold out audiences. The Public Works Department is a full service department that is integral to the City’s success and is comprised of 120 full time employees spread out over 5 divisions: Operations, Water Resources, Engineering, Mass Transit and Parks.
