The Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology (APK) at the University of Florida (UF) is seeking applications for a full-time lecturer/senior lecturer faculty position. The primary responsibilities of this faculty position may include, but are not limited to, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the areas of biomechanics, motor control, and/or motor neuroscience. The biomechanics and motor control / motor neuroscience community at UF is exceptional and collaborative. Faculty research and instructional areas of interest span orthopedic, neurologic, neuromechanics, aging, and cognitive-motor interactions. Instructional excellence is supported by university, college, and departmental mechanisms such as the Office of Faculty Development and Teaching Excellence, in-house course design consultants, lecturer promotion and merit pay plans, conference travel, summer teaching opportunities, and instructional grant opportunities. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track faculty position; however, summer employment opportunities exist. Although the primary duties for this position are instructional, involvement in service at the department, college, and university levels is also expected.
