Licensed, experienced Professional Engineer (PE) with supervisory responsibilities, as appropriate, to provide design, project management and team leadership for City transportation, stormwater and sanitary sewer utility engineering projects. An experienced engineering project manager capable of best practice supervisory and/or work program team leader responsibilities as required. An Engineer who can maintain high quality standards while moving projects forward within budget and on schedule. Must have the ability to multi task and complete many varying assignments while maintaining appropriate billable hours on work assignments and projects.
Training and Experience:
Current State of Florida Professional Engineer license or current Professional Engineer license from another State that can transfer within six (6) months of hire.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering
At least four (4) years directly related engineering experience and project management capacity
A minimum one year in a supervisory, team leader or project team lead capacity
Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License or a valid driver's license in another state allowing transfer within 30 days from date of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Training and knowledge of supervisory and leadership best management practices including including coaching, counseling, hiring, selection, managing performance, addressing performance improvement issues as needed and performing related administrative work
Advanced knowledge of municipal engineering practices and procedures including surveying, construction, infrastructure design and drafting techniques.

work as effective project manager and team leader,
communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
coordinate engineering projects and work programs.
