Oversee the AFS Technical Services Department and direct its activities to ensure that they are aligned with the goals of the AFS strategic plan. Administer the AFS research portfolio of internally and externally funded projects, managing the technology transfer of these programs to the industry. Provide supporting liaison to the technical committees and research board to assist them in achieving the Society’s goals and objectives; also provide support for technical publications, i.e. the International Journal of Metalcasting, and serve as a technical resource to the AFS members and the metalcasting industry.
