The Vice President, Operational Excellence, will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance and Business Excellence efforts within the Narda-Miteq Divisions. The individual will be responsible for driving continual process and product improvement throughout the organization, ensuring product and process integrity. Implement a quality system that supports a diverse mix of high-reliability products for space, military, and commercial products and systems sold directly to government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial customers. Works closely with the program teams and the functional organizations to ensure that all phases of the customer cycle, from early customer involvement through post-delivery support, are meeting or exceeding the requirements for mission success. Ensures that manufacturing engineering, operations and design engineering interact sufficiently throughout the product planning and design phases to ensure a seamless transition to production. Provides independent evaluation of technical gate reviews to ensure technical rigor is being applied to the process.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required. Master's Degree or MBA is preferred. Minimum of 10 years well-rounded experience in progressive manufacturing and quality management is required as well as experience working with DCMA and major aerospace, defense, and space prime contractors. A thorough working knowledge of quality systems models such as ISO9000 and AS9100 in a registered environment as well as a broad knowledge of statistical process control is required. Experience leading quality in a high mix/low volume business model in the defense or space industry, specifically for electronic systems, is highly preferred. Ability to secure DOD Secret Clearance is required and willingness to travel an average of 25% of the time.
