Work on research, development, provide internal and external support primarily to expand Metacomp’s efforts in the areas of computational fluid dynamics and mesh generation; testing and support of CFD++ and MIME, Metacomp’s in-house flow solver and mesh generation software products. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, running validation cases, setting up cases involving fluids simulations, analyzing results, researching, identifying and adding new capabilities for CFD++, providing bug fixes, documenting capabilities and usage of tools of the software.
PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Compressible Flow, Thermo-Fluids and Numerical methods in Engineering Analysis, development of higher order codes for modeling high fidelity hypersonic ablative flows around re-entry geometries. Analytical and theoretical skills in developing robust and efficient Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) systems. Programming skills in C, C++, JAVA, FORTRAN, MATHEMATICA, MATLAB, OPENMPI.
