IBTS is currently recruiting for a Professional Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) to provide oversight for the quality control of the self-contained Tank & Pump Sprinkler System (TPS) installations for FEMA Manufactured Housing Units (MHU's) in the Baton Rouge, LA region on a high priority project with high visibility. The FPE will observe the and provide oversight of TPS installations and testing inspection activities to ensure the highest level of quality control is achieved. As FPEs, they will be responsible for ensuring that fire codes and other life safety practices are adhered to, with regard to the sprinkler system installations in the manufactured housing units constructed by FEMA. Candidates do not have to be local but must be open to a temporary assignment on-site. Work periods last 50, 60 and 90 hours, averaging 10 hours per day.
