POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe Transportation Operations division of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) presents an exceptional opportunity working with a team of professionals focused on creating a safe, interconnected, vibrant, affordable, and innovative city for all. Reporting to the Manager of Transportation Operations Engineering & Design, the Traffic Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising engineers, specialists, and other professionals that are responsible for complex and difficult professional civil engineering work in planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal public works projects.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Environment/Physical Demands:Most work is performed in a normal City work/office environment. Field assignments entail exposure to all types of weather, traffic, hazardous/toxic substances, and work in or near construction sites. May be required to lift over 50 pounds. May be required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time. May be required to work nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may be required.
