ODOT's Region 2 implements programs and projects initiated through the Statewide Transportation Improvement System (STIP). Areas 4 and 5 of Region 2 are responsible and accountable for project development and construction budgets ranging from a few million to over $80 million over a four-year period.We are recruiting for two (2) local agency liaisons. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver local program projects by establishing contacts with local agencies to advise and assist them with the development, design, and construction of federal and state funded local transportation projects. Projects range from simple to very complex and many of these projects are highly visible with local significance. The local agency liaison also initiates and negotiates agreements with local agencies and manages consultant contracts used in development and construction of projects. Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, surveying or transportation-related engineering and four years of civil or transportation-related engineering or surveying experience;OR Seven years of civil or transportation-related engineering or surveying experience. Two years of this experience must have been independently planning and completing assignments in drafting, field or laboratory inspection, construction contract administration, surveying, materials testing, or traffic investigations;OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.Special Qualifications:Driving is an essential function of this position. A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record are required for this position. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s).Special Qualifications:
