Internship Program Manager: Human Resources CoordinatorReports to: Marketing & Communications Director for day-to-day responsibilitiesDepartment: Events and Marketing & Communications
The Events Marketing Intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of all event-related marketing initiatives. Duties will include social media management, sponsor activation, digital marketing, graphic design & more.
As an Events & Marketing Intern, you will gain skills and experience in the following areas:• Social media management• Website management• Electronic media campaigns• Graphic design• Communication skillsetsEssential Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with the creation, editing and deployment of monthly Convention attendee and exhibitor eNewsletters • Maintaining and managing contact lists for external event communications • Writing press releases • Helping to drive online traffic with web-related campaigns • Writing online content• Updating the Convention website• Assisting in the management of event-related social media campaigns• Helping with the creation of the printed 2018 Convention Program & Buyer’s Guide • Assisting with the activation of sponsor deliverables • Other projects as assigned
Qualifications: • At least two years of undergraduate work completed in marketing, business, management, social media or related field • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Marketing and commercial social media experience desired • Proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, Word on a Windows PC, and technology literate • Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and/or Canva • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Must have a means of transportationBehaviors:• Customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement with fiscal responsibility• Flexibility• Drive for Business Results• Initiative and Decision Making• Collaboration• Respect for Others• Analyzing and Problem Solving• Planning and Organizing• Leading and Engaging• Passion for Continuous Learning • Able to manage the stress of deadline driven deliverables • Discretion in social media posting and usage
