Amec Foster Wheeler’s Phoenix office is a regional center of excellence for our Transportation practice to serve our State and Municipal clients. Within the Transportation practice is our Roadway Engineering specialty area. Our team of growth?minded experts are expanding these disciplines at the local, state and national levels and we can’t do that without you.Our Phoenix location consists of a balanced mix of senior leadership, technical experts, and junior staff. Our in-state clients include ADOT, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Native American communities, and a large number of municipalities; as well as a number of private clients for whom we deliver traffic services. We believe in the strength of leveraging technology to create stellar results, and are motivated by the impact our work has on each employee’s career, the communities we serve, and meeting our client’s goals.Key Responsibilities•Focused and detail oriented•Responsive and quick thinking•Organized and self-motivated•Conscientious of budgets and deadlines•Efficient and proficient at using computer aided design (CAD) software platforms including Microstation / InRoads and AutoCAD / Civil 3D
Skills / Qualifications •Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus•12 -18 years of roadway engineering experience, preferably in Arizona•Professional Engineer registrant / license a requirement•Experience applying AASHTO, ADOT, MAG, and local municipality standards to roadway design•Experience with roadway modeling•Mathematic skills, including basic understanding and use of geometry and trigonometry•Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing•Proficiency in MS Office•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyDiversity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer that recognises the value of a diverse workforce.
